Everyone has plastic bags. Using them for yarn is so much fun!

Upcycled Continuous Plarn-Plastic Bag Yarn

You simply need scissors and a plastic bag.
You can cut a single continuous strand or use the double strand method.

Lay the bag out flat and cut away the bottom.
Unfold the handle side folds and cut away the handles

Use the Upcycled Continous T-Shirt Yarn yarn method to cut the bag.

Fold the bottom tube up towards the top tube in sections (smooth the air out of the bag from center to the side cuts). Leave an allowance of about an inch.

Cut the folded bottom tube into strips sections of 1 1/2 each. Do not cut
the top allowance.

Unfold the strips and cut diagonally from the inside of the bottom first strip to the outside of the top second strip.  Continue cutting diagonally from the inside bottom strip to the next outside top strip.

When you reach the last strip cut diagonally the same direction to separate it. Go back and cut the first strip off  in the same manner.

Wrap a handle into the center of you plarn ball and pull the free strip through the handle to keep the ball from unrolling while you cut and wrap. Use different colored handles to tell you how many bags you wrap into each ball.
